i am not a fan. i dont know if its worse than any other auto tho. Having driven a CVT around (my wife’s van) I like the CVTs better than auto’s.

Absolutely numb steering, touchy brakes, transmission shifts constantly, kinda peppy, more torque steer than expected

CVTs are awful compared to a good automatic. Most automatics are awful though...Try a zf 8 speed

That would help too. I thought the Focus had paddles, but I knew the Fiesta didn’t.

But that’s also the problem., To get the most out of a DCT you HAVE to use the paddles. They’re all terrible just driving it in D. Totally unacceptable for a non-performance daily driver automatic.

The manual is the way to go, the dct kinda sucks. The headrests angle too much and it makes my neck hurt. I’m 5' 10" and in order to sit in a comfortable driving position the large B-pillar is exactly to the side of my head. The car is pretty quick feeling, handles well, and gets fairly decent gas mileage.

You can rotate that headrest. Pull forward and release.

What is wrong with the DCT? I found that it was smooth and pretty good in the one I rented in Canada a couple years ago.

In fact, that was among the better rental cars I’ve ever had.
